Oskar Berger

Biography

Illustrations, publicity, trademarks. Born 12 May 1901 in Presow (Prešov), Hungary. After training worked as designer for Ullstein Verlag, Berlin. 1935: emigrated from Czechoslovakia to England. 1938: emigrated to USA where in 1945 he was naturalized. 1945-70: designer for the New York journal The Nation; drew illustrations and caricatures for journals and numerous books.
