Werner Beucke

Biography

Packaging, typography, posters, publicity. Born 17 January 1903 in Berlin. Studied at Vereinigte Staatsschulen für freie und angewandte Kunst, Berlin: a teacher was O.H.W. Hadank. Later worked as a book designer, especially for Ullstein in Berlin. By 1931 he had designed numerous advertisements for Deutsche Lufthansa. By 1932: on the BDG board of directors. 1936: designed the tickets and other printed material for the Olympics. 7 April 1940: died on military service.
