Toni Zepf

Biography

Posters, packaging, book jackets. Born 29 December 1902 in Augsburg. Studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule, Saarbrücken. 1927-36: worked for the Saarbrücker Zeitung; also taught at the Saarbrücker Kunstgewerbeschule. 1936-9: worked for the Berliner Tageblatt. From 1937: freelance in Berlin where his clients included the German State Railway, the periodical neue linie and the Container Corporation of America. By 1953: taught graphic design at Hannover Werkkunstschule.
