Max Eschle

Biography

Posters, postage stamps. Born 21 August 1890 in Munich. Studied at the Munich Kunstgewerbeschule. 1922/3: awarded Art Prize of the City of Munich. By 1925: member of Die Sechs (The Six), a group of Munich poster artists. 1935-6: designed at least 14 postage stamps, and publicity, for the Olympic Games. Died 1 January 1979 in Prien (Chiemsee).
