Kurt G.E. Siebert

Biography

Ex-libris, logos, posters, librarian, historian. Born 5 June 1889 in Görlitz. Studied four years at the Akademie für Kunst und Kunstgewerbe, Breslau: a teacher was Hans Pölzig. 1914-18: military service. 1919: studied librarianship at the Berlin Staatliche Kunstbibliothek (National Art Library), while developing his talents as a lettering/typographic designer of certificates, trademarks, posters. Later, he was the Librarian at the Staatliche Kunstbibliothek, for which he designed the posters. Died 30 May 1938.
