Biography
Packaging, illustrations. Studied at the Munich Kunstgewerbeschule under Professor Riemerschmid; later moved to Leipzig where she trained with Hugo Steiner-Prag. She worked for years for the cosmetics manufacturer I.G. Mouson, Frankfurt a.M. designing elegant packaging. She also designed stage costumes, illustrated children’s books and numerous die neue linie covers. The same Hilde Bauer who drew fashion drawings for the stores Modehaus Koller (1930s) and Gerngross, Vienna?
