Heinz Schwabe

Biography

Publicity, book jackets, posters, logos. Began career in a Berlin printing firm, then freelanced. After working in Stockholm, he he worked in the studio of Scherl the Berlin pubisher, followed by freelancing until 1939. Military service during the war. After the war he freelanced, then taught commercial art at the Berlin Hochschule. From 1949: living in Düsseldorf. His industrial clients included Mercedes-Benz.
