Biography

Posters, advertising. Born 11 September 1901 in Berlin. Studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule and the Kunstschule in Berlin. Began as motoring illustrator for the journal Sport im Bild. 1924-58: designed car advertisements (his style much copied), including Volkswagen (from 1950). Living in Berlin in 1933, 1936. Died 1958.
